Job Overview Goodwin William Staffing is seeking candidates for a
DIRECT HIRE
Production Supervisor for our client in Ruckersville, Virginia. The Production Supervisor will oversee daily production operations, manage production floor workers, enforce quality standards, monitor workflow, solve equipment or staffing bottlenecks, and meet shift output goals. Managed floor personnel will initially consist of 2-3 assembly techs growing to 5-7 techs (7-9 floor workers total) over the following 12 months. The Production Supervisor will begin work in a dual role of both assembly tech and supervisor during the initial 4-6 months period of employment ramping into a full-time supervisor role by the end of the period. Key Responsibilities Supervise, train, and mentor floor staff. Review production schedules, assign daily work tasks, and track output ensuring production throughput goals are met. Adjust work area configuration and/or worker pace as required to maintain production throughput targets. Monitor work quality throughout the manufacturing process to confirm product maintains required quality level. Review Engineering provided work instructions and present to techs at a level that is easily understood. Maintain shop tools, equipment, machinery, including calibrations. Resolve equipment failures, material shortages, or worker conflicts quickly to reduce downtime. Prepare/train assembly techs to sit for and pass

certification testing. Incoming receiving of parts and materials into inventory. Inventory maintenance for accuracy and neat physical organization Packaging, labeling, and shipping of goods. Job kitting and distribution to the floor so that work order materials are readily available. Establish standard throughput cycle rates for significant manufacturing steps. Critical contributor to floor staff hire/fire, discipline, and pay-raise decisions. Skills and Qualifications 3-5 years working in a manufacturing or industrial setting with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role. Experience manufacturing electrical cables and harnesses and the

workmanship standard is highly desirable. High school diploma. Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical or industrial field is a plus. Experience using manufacturing tools, equipment, and machinery, especially those associated with wire processing. Knowledge and experience with inventory management and job-tracking functions of ERP software. Clear communication skills required to proficiently direct teams, listen to worker issues, and report shift metrics to upper management. Proficient at using the Microsoft Office suite of business software tools. US citizenship or lawful permanent resident.
