A Manufacturing Production Supervisor supervises workers and production schedules, monitors supplies, and oversees quality assurance at a manufacturing facility or plant.
Direct Hire Role Summary Hands-on production lead role supporting daily manufacturing/assembly operations. You'll coordinate workload and priorities, help remove roadblocks on the floor, ensure quality and safety expectations are met, and coach/mentor assemblers—while still working alongside the team. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day execution for a team of assemblers (tasking, pacing, priorities, workflow) Provide hands-on support and technical guidance during mechanical, electrical, and system assembly Monitor quality, confirm work meets standards, and help address defects/rework needs Troubleshoot routine to moderately complex assembly issues and escalate when needed Communicate schedule updates, material needs, and risks to production leadership Train, coach, and mentor newer team members on process, tools, safety, and expectations Enforce safe work practices/PPE and stop work when unsafe conditions exist Maintain organization/5S mindset: documentation, materials readiness, tools/equipment availability What We're Looking For (Required) High school diploma plus 4+ years of assembly/manufacturing experience (or closely related) Prior manufacturing leadership experience (leading a small team, directing work, on-the-job coaching) Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation Strong communication skills (clear direction, coordination, escalation when appropriate) Work Environment / Physical Requirements Regularly lift/carry/move up to 50 lbs Frequent standing/walking; climbing, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling, reaching overhead Ability to relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet (ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks) Good vision (corrected OK), color vision, and ability to communicate in English Ability to recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong (quality/safety awareness) System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
