This involves working closely with upper management to identify ways to increase production efficiency, improve employee professional development, boost employee retention, and maintain production data and metrics. When necessary, the Production Manager will redirect personnel toward more efficient procedures that will ultimately promote efficiency, quality, safety, and lead to business growth. He or she may also be responsible for setting budgets or financial goals for the production shop and equipment maintenance. Overall, the Production Manager must be hands-on in production while ensuring all members of the Production staff are cross-trained and well-versed in the actions necessary for ACL-USA's success. The successful Production Manager Candidate will possess the ability/experience to: Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Production Floor organization to ensure Tools, Parts, Equipment, and Supplies are properly stored and readily available to support production efficiency
  • Plan and monitor day-to-day production operations to ensure smooth progress
  • Directly oversee all production including MIG, TIG, & Stick Welding, Metal Fabrication production work and coating production.
  • Manage inventory levels with sales expectations to ensure effective procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation Synchronize supply chain sourcing to support economical purchase of parts and materials
  • Liaise with company quality assurance team for processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with engineering/innovation teams on new products
  • Provide outstanding customer service that exceeds customer expectations
  • Liaise with company senior leadership on production decisions and to set strategic goals
  • Lead production staff and provide constructive feedback while setting a positive and confident leadership example
  • Ensure that the company complies with all legal and established industry regulations
  • Champion proficiency for current industry practices including productivity, quality, planning, culture, and employee safety regulatory requirements Supervisory Responsibilities Recruit, interview, hire, and train new production staff Communicate with ACL-USA leadership to ensure production jobs are properly prioritized and executed Oversee the daily workflow including tracking individual production task times and materials expended Provide constructive and timely staff performance evaluations Required Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Brilliant interpersonal and customer service skills Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Admirable time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Superb supervisory and leadership skills Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate as appropriate Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Prolonged periods of standing/working on the shop floor Travel to local and remote locations as required.
