Job Description
I Position Summary Chiefly responsible for execution of production schedule with proper utilization of shop resources (human, equipment, tooling and floor space) to assure for on time and quality delivery of product while maximizing labor force. Reports to the President. II Key job tasks
- Analyze and manage shop load-communicate needed changes to Planner
- Daily production schedule by employee to best match individual strengths & maximize family of product builds (i.e., 933452-xxx all by one assembler)
- Gives input on best practices to first article team
- Ongoing labor efficiency analysis on just completed jobs
- Continually work cell arrangements and workstation arrangements for best practice and lean concepts
- Oversee 2nd shift
- Maintain proper level of workforce at various levels of capabilities/and within all work areas/cells
- Oversee production leads
- Develop training plans for production individuals
- Manage workforce including hiring input, probationary activity and annual reviews with input from production lead(s) and coordinate with H.R.
- Coordinate with purchasing when jobs are missing materials prior to releasing to the floor
- Manage preventative maintenance program
- Handle personnel issues with a high level of professionalism while maintaining documented processes and communication with H.R.
- Lead each day by example III Job requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in a lead or supervisory position
- Capable of managing multiple tasks at one time, driving to time sensitive dates
- Flexible and able to adapt to an ever-changing work load
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer skills including: Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software (preferably Excel and Word) Knowledge of MRP processes and software a plus
