Job Description
Worthington Enterprises is seeking a Production Supervisor to join the team that will direct the department to ensure production and quality standards are met. Key results in this role include but are not limited to controlling of costs, maintaining training records and performance evaluations, and maintaining of safety record for the department. The ideal candidate is an organized, analytical, problem-solver with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks. This position is for 2nd shift support. Responsibilities Oversees and ensures team safety and productivity efficiency. Administers company policy. Supervises employees including training, coaching and mentoring employees, updating records, writing and presenting employee evaluations, assisting in hiring for team, setting goals and tracking the progress of the department. Responsible for continuous improvement and cost control of the group including scrap and rework improvements, controls cost of manufacturing process. Prepare standard reports and metrics and presents at monthly meetings. Acts as a change agent. Task tracking, labor assignments, and OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) monitorization using L2L manufacturing software. Other duties as assigned. Desired Experience And Traits Heavy shop floor presence with demonstrable expertise in safety first and quality driven environments. Work and interact with all levels of employees while building trusting relationships. Energetic self-starter that is adept at taking initiative. Basic financial understanding. Sound analysis, decision making, critical thinking, and investigation skills. Previous experience with connected workforce platforms that assist in improving productivity, reducing downtime, ensuring product quality, and enhancing collaboration, communications, and continuous improvement. Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
