Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bilingual Working Supervisor to lead and manage daily operations within our lumber mill facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities in multiple languages, and hands-on experience supervising production teams in an industrial environment. This role involves overseeing curing, cutting, and stacking lumber while ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. Duties Supervise/execute daily lumber mill operations, including curing, cutting, stacking, and material flow Lead, motivate, and manage production employees to meet output, safety, and quality goals Conduct employee orientation, on-the-job training, and ongoing development Assist with hiring processes including interviewing and onboarding qualified candidates Coordinate shift schedules and workforce coverage to maintain operational efficiency Monitor production output, workflow, and inventory of finished lumber Ensure proper handling, stacking, and storage of lumber products Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and housekeeping standards Communicate production expectations clearly to bilingual crews Act as a working supervisor, assisting in operations as needed Report production data, staffing needs, and operational issues to management Requirements Proven supervisory experience in manufacturing, or industrial production environment Bilingual proficiency (English required; Spanish required) Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience training and supervising hourly production employees Knowledge of workplace safety practices in an industrial setting Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Prior working supervisor or lead experience preferred
