We're looking for an experienced professional to Lead our Frame Welding Shop and contribute to the success of our production team! As the Weld Lead , you'll balance hands-on welding expertise with team leadership responsibilities. Your role will involve planning, organizing, and driving daily production activities while maintaining high safety and quality standards. You'll also play a key part in fostering a culture of continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities Lead and Coordinate :
Oversee daily welding operations, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently.
Hands-On Welding :
Fit, weld, and grind light-gauge sheet metal door frames with precision.
Process Improvement :
Implement solutions to improve quality, efficiency, and safety.
Training & Development :
Mentor team members to enhance skills and maintain high performance.
Collaboration :
Work closely with other departments to align schedules and address issues.
Safety & Quality :
Uphold a safe work environment and ensure all work meets exacting quality standards. Qualifications We're seeking a dependable leader with the following: Strong welding experience, including MIG/GMAW and plasma cutting. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and technical specifications. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and a track record of process improvement. Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills. A high school diploma (or equivalent) and relevant hands-on experience.
