Production Supervisor Summary of the
Position:
Supervise day-to-day operations ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Assist in production scheduling and monitoring materials on a regular basis to meet production goals. Manage and schedule staff to meet production goals, maintain safety and quality expectations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Plan day-to-day production activities to meet safety, quality and order expectations. Supervise and coordinate the activities of production with the department personnel, analyze problems and implement measures to resolve issues. Provide constant coaching and training in the production area and by maintaining a regular floor presence throughout the production shift. Monitor organization of production floor and storage areas. Maintain a safe work environment. Communicate with Quality, Shipping/Receiving, and Maintenance to effectively execute production activities. Supervise and motivate the production team, ensure all policies, procedures and goals are being administered fairly and equitably. Work with appropriate departments for improvement of policies and procedures. Ensure GMP and SQF standards are maintained on the production floor, and day-to-day records and logs are completed to always be in compliance with regulatory and company standards. Coordinate with the appropriate departments for any issues that arise. Minimum Requirements Effective communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail. The ability to multi-task in multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams. Must be proficient in Windows Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with above average Excel skills. Ability to think and work independently and possess strong creativity and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience :
Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred. Supervisor experience is required. High school diploma or GED is required. Post-secondary degree is preferred.
