Job Description

Position Summary Under the direction of the Foundry Manager and/or Foundry Superintendent, the Foundry Supervisor is responsible for the planning, direction, and coordination of assigned foundry operations. Areas of responsibility may include Molding, Core Room, Melt, Cleaning Room, Pattern Shop, and Furnace Repair. 2nd Shift
  • 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Production Management Plan, direct, and coordinate daily foundry operations Participate in establishing production goals and timelines Organize production procedures and monitor performance Ensure schedules and production targets are met Maintain close oversight of all foundry activities Budget & Cost Control Manage and maintain foundry budget Implement cost reduction and profit improvement initiatives Promote efficient use of resources Supervision & Leadership Directly and indirectly supervise hourly foundry employees Train, assign, and evaluate employees Provide performance feedback and support employee development Address employee concerns and resolve issues Enforce company policies and ensure compliance with applicable laws Additional Duties Perform other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise employees within assigned areas and as directed Coordinate and oversee team activities Conduct performance evaluations Manage employee relations, including discipline and conflict resolution Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures Core CompetenciesProject Management Develop and coordinate project plans Track progress and communicate updates Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
