$18.00 per hour (Paid Weekly)
Shift:
1st Shift | Monday - Thursday, 6: 30 AM - 5: 00 PM (Overtime on Fridays as needed) Job Summary AtWork Personnel is seeking a dependable Auger Feed Operator for a manufacturing facility in Huntsville, AL. This position is responsible for feeding materials into an auger system, monitoring equipment for proper operation, and ensuring a continuous flow of materials throughout the production process. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Feed materials into the auger system while maintaining a steady production flow. Monitor the auger and surrounding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Clear minor material jams and notify maintenance of equipment issues when necessary. Inspect materials for quality and remove damaged or nonconforming items. Load, unload, and transport materials using pallet jacks or other approved equipment. Maintain production quotas while following quality standards. Keep the work area clean and free of debris to ensure a safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations. Assist with general production and warehouse duties as assigned. Perform routine housekeeping and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred. Experience operating production equipment is a plus. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to recognize equipment issues. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic. High school diploma or GED preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift. Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, dust, and moving machinery.
