The Textile Cleaning Technician is responsible for processing garments and soft goods through various stages of the textile restoration process. This role supports production in areas such as washing, drying, pressing, finishing, and specialty item cleaning. Technicians are expected to follow CRDN procedures to ensure items are properly cleaned, restored, and returned to pre-loss condition whenever possible.
Core Responsibilities:
Textile Processing Perform assigned tasks within the production line, including washing, drying, folding, pressing, and packaging. Follow proper cleaning methods based on fabric type, level of damage, and manufacturer guidelines. Operate washers, dryers, steam tunnels, presses, and other textile equipment safely and efficiently.
Production Area Assignments Washing & Drying:
Sort garments, load machines, and select appropriate cleaning cycles.
Folding & Boxing:
Fold cleaned items neatly and prepare for packaging or storage.
Steam Tunnel & Finishing:
Operate steam tunnel and perform finishing to restore garment appearance.
Pressing:
Press garments to remove wrinkles and meet quality standards.
Bagging:
Properly bag, tag, and organize completed items for return delivery.
Specialty Cleaning:
Clean and restore items such as shoes, purses, pillows, and stuffed animals using approved techniques. Quality Control Inspect items before and after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met. Identify stains, damage, or items requiring re-cleaning or special handling. Report quality issues or concerns to the Plant Manager. Inventory & Tracking Ensure all items remain properly tagged and associated with the correct job. Follow ContentsTrac or tagging procedures throughout the production process. Maintain organization and separation of jobs to prevent mix-ups. Work Area Organization Keep assigned workstations clean, organized, and efficient. Assist in maintaining overall plant cleanliness and workflow organization. Safety & Compliance Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of equipment and chemicals. Wear required PPE and adhere to CRDN SOPs. Report equipment issues or hazards immediately. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Production output (pieces processed per shift) Quality of finished garments (re-clean rates) Accuracy in tagging and job separation Efficiency in assigned production area Adherence to SOPs and safety standards Attendance and reliability
Qualifications:
Prior experience in dry cleaning, laundry services, or production environments preferred but not required. Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized processes. Strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Willingness to learn multiple production roles.

Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
