The opportunity
  • The Production Clerk will support the department with data entry, creating and running reports, and production scheduling.
The Production clerk will maintain daily production activities, such as assembling accurate standards and ensuring schedules are prepared. Communication with support departments will ensure the press has necessary materials for production. H ow you will impact Smurfit Westrock
  • Accurately enter department production data and report any discrepancies
  • Track changes and ensure the changes are communicated to the appropriate area, i.e. schedule changes due to materials availability.
  • Maintain and provide production scheduling and standards
  • Impact financials for the plant by accurately processing data
  • Prepare job packets for each order and ensure all materials are correct and complete. What you need to succeed
  • Proven organization and clerical skills
  • Proficient use of Office programs; Excel (must be able to demonstrate skills during the interview such as navigation, data entry, sorting, using basic functions to sum or average data, formatting, data management), Word, and Outlook
  • Attention to detail and work accuracy
  • Ability to effectively communicate issues with leadership, graphics, scheduling, customer service and production departments.
  • Able to solve issues creatively and quickly to keep production running smoothly.
  • Demonstrated record of meeting or exceeding standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Ability to manage time and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, as needed
  • Work well with others, teamwork
