We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Technician to join our team on the night shift. In this role, you will work directly with wire harness assembly and quality containment operations, ensuring electrical systems meet exact specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Perform visual inspection, continuity testing, and quality verification on wire harness assemblies. Rework or repair defective harnesses, including terminal crimping, wire replacement, and soldering adjustments. Maintain accurate defect documentation and component labeling according to standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620 compliance preferred). Work efficiently on the production line to support manufacturing schedules and quality goals.

Blueprint Reading:

Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wire harness assembly drawings, pinout tables, and bill of materials (BOM).

Quality Reporting:

Familiarity with digital reporting software or data entry platforms for recording defects and tracking containment metrics.

Self-Direction:

Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight during late-shift hours.

Color Vision:

Visual acuity and color perception for identifying color-coded wiring.

Qualifications:

Wire Harness Assembly Experience:

At least 1???2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment working directly with electrical wire harnesses, cable assemblies, or wiring looms.

Basic Component Inspection:

Demonstrated ability to perform visual inspections for common electrical defects, such as bad crimps, frayed insulation, misrouted wires, or bent pins.

Hand Tool Proficiency:

Experience using standard manual hand tools, including wire strippers, hand crimpers, terminal extraction tools, and pin insertion equipment.

Diagram & Instruction Reading:

Ability to follow basic work instructions, route charts, wire list schematics, and color-code charts.

Visual Acuity & Color Perception:

Normal color vision (or ability to pass a color blind test) required to accurately distinguish color-coded wiring, striping, and pinouts.

Fine Motor Skills & Dexterity:

Excellent hand-eye coordination for working with small, precise electrical components and terminal housing.
