This role serves as the central administrative hub for daily manufacturing, assembly, and supply chain operations within a premier light-manufacturing environment. The Production Administrator is responsible for coordinating workflow documentation, maintaining precise work orders, and tracking raw material and finished goods inventory. Working closely with plant leadership, this position ensures seamless data flow between assembly lines, quality control, and logistics to maintain optimal output. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and proven experience working with ERP or WMS platforms.
Responsibilities:
Print, log, and distribute daily production schedules, work orders, bill of materials (BOM), and assembly travelers to plant supervisors. Monitor raw material inventory levels, perform cycle count reconciliations, and record work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods entries in the ERP system. Verify incoming packing slips, assist shipping leads with bill of ladings (BOLs), and coordinate compliance paperwork. Maintain structured filing systems for quality assurance logs, inspection reports, non-conformance documents, and safety audits. Track daily line metrics, labor hours, and production output to generate accurate operational performance reports. Serve as the primary liaison between production, procurement, warehouse, and quality assurance departments to resolve discrepancies quickly. Perform general administrative duties including high-volume data entry, order processing, purchase order matching, and file maintenance.
Qualifications:
Experience:
2 to 4 years of administrative or clerical experience within a manufacturing, assembly, or industrial distribution facility.
Software Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and hands-on experience utilizing ERP/WMS databases.
Technical Aptitude:
Ability to accurately read work orders, interpret bills of materials (BOM), and verify alphanumeric part numbers.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with operators, warehouse leads, and management.
Detail Orientation:
Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on data accuracy, time management, and multi-tasking under daily deadlines.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations preferred.
