Position Description Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Operator handles key daily tasks across multiple workstations. Essential duties include operating the Finger Joint Line equipment, managing adhesive application and lamination alignment at our Glulam and CLT press production lines, inspecting inventory, enhancing the cosmetic appearance and making structural repairs to finished product as a Finishing Operator, and running assembly machinery for panel and beam layups as a Press Operator. This position is located at our facility in Conway, Arkansas. Responsibilities Safely run production equipment in a manner consistent with production objectives. Perform end-of-shift equipment shutdown and daily workspace cleaning. Adapt to assigned duty rotations while maintaining core responsibilities. Maintain knowledge of facility emergency evacuation protocols. Conduct "Take 10" safety assessments prior to unfamiliar operations. Review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) when handling hazardous materials. Report mechanical malfunctions to maintenance promptly with detailed descriptions to support root cause discovery and issue resolution Audit,manage and inspect supply and tool inventories daily. Use various tools to manually intervene and correct production disruptions. Mix resin and epoxy compounds according to specified ratios. Apply vapor barriers and sealants; Verify finished dimensions and CNC machining accuracy. Comply with manufacturing standards and product specifications. Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure product compliance Partner with team members and leadership to achieve target throughput, safety, and quality goals. Communicate effectively with other production operators. Perform additional operational duties as assigned. Follow lock-out/tag-out standards during equipment servicing. Uphold 5S principles to promote operational efficiency. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Proficiency with manual and electric equipment (e.g., routers, chisels, putty knives, sanders, all types of saws, hammers, high torque drills) Basic understanding of lumber grading standards is considered an asset. Strong aptitude for precision,quality, and attention to detail Familiarity with manufacturing processes and procedures is considered an asset Self-starter capable of executing instructions autonomously Adaptable mindset with the ability to thrive in a high-tempo setting Physical capability to remain standing for extended durations, navigate stairways and ladders unassisted, and lift 50 lbs independently Salary & Benefits The salary for this position is $21.00-$23.00 (USD). Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
