$21/hour Required Skills & Experience High School or GED Nice to Have Skills & Experience Experience with metal finishing methods, spray coating/paint application, machining, grinding, and/or welding. Experience with computerized machine operation. Experience with precision measuring instruments such as feeler gauges, verniers, calipers and micrometers. Knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions Understand and follow oral and written instructions concerning work methods and procedures. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Basic computer skills Flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. Job Description Under the direction of supervision or working leader you will work from verbal, written or computer-generated instructions to perform pre-coating operations. Operations include surface preparation and masking duties. Perform post coating tasks such as removing parts from fixtures, removing masking, troubleshooting, and diagnosing malfunctioning equipment. You will perform minor repairs on coating equipment where applicable. These repairs include but are not limited to the following: Perform deburring, blending, polishing countersinking, grinding, drilling or grit blast operations using a variety of hand and power tools and equipment on surfaces and details of aerospace engine components. Perform Total Preventive Maintenance on applicable machines/equipment as required. Check parts to meet visual and dimensional requirements using various measuring equipment/tools including micrometers, verniers, height gages and other fixed gages. Assure completed parts meet quality requirements. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
