SALARY:
Starting salary: $26/h + depending on experience Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Production Control Clerk located at the NSWC Corona in Corona, CA . We are seeking a highly organized, professional, and proactive Production Control Clerk to support the Trident Missile Program at NSWC Corona. The selected candidate will be responsible for the configuration management of critical documentation related to Navy Special Interface Gages, tracking weekly performance and quality metrics, and facilitating communications between internal and external program stakeholders. This role requires exceptional responsiveness, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining professional communication standards. Our combined contractor team provides the necessary services in the inspection, certification and calibration of Navy METCAL Programs, Navy Special Interface Gages, Marine Corps Infantry Weapons Gage Certification Program, U.S. Army Gage Program, U.S. Navy and Coast Guard Small Arms Program and NAVAIR Gun Gage Program. Our tasking also consists of quality assessment support, technical writing, and technical assistance with engineering projects and programs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Security Clearance:
Must be able to acquire and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (Active Secret clearance preferred).
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
Technical Skills:
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience tracking metrics in Excel is highly desirable.
Experience:
Prior experience in document control, configuration management, or administrative support within a military, defense contractor, or engineering environment is preferred. Attention to

Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy while following strict Quality Assurance and administrative protocols.
Professional Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on responsiveness and customer service.
Organization & Prioritization:
Proven ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and meet consistent weekly deadlines.
Computer Literacy:
Proficient in data input, generating administrative paperwork correctly, and organizing digital filing structures.
Teamwork & Initiative:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as a self-starter and conscientious worker.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Configuration Management:
Maintain and oversee configuration management of all files, records, and documentation related to Navy Special Interface Gages. Ensure strict version control and organize files for easy retrieval and compliance audits.
Metrics & Reporting:
Collect, update, and maintain weekly quality and performance metrics based on a defined list of the Branch's key indicators. Ensure accuracy in all data entry and reporting activities.
Stakeholder Communication:
Coordinate and send various technical and program documents to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders. Ensure all information is transmitted securely and reaches the correct parties in a timely manner.
Professional Correspondence:
Respond to inquiries promptly and maintain a highly professional, courteous demeanor in all verbal and written communication efforts.
Quality Assurance Support:
Adhere to established procedures, administrative directions, and strict Quality Assurance (QA) guidelines. All actions are subject to regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance.
Administrative Assistance:
Provide general technical writing support, assist with gage procedure documentation, and support other administrative tasks related to engineering projects and programs as needed.
