In this role, you will be responsible for operating punch presses and related machinery to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in machine operation, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and safety standards will ensure the efficient and high-quality production of parts. Responsibilities Set up and operate various punch press machines (Bliss C60), including stamping presses, ensuring proper tooling and safety protocols are followed. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to produce parts that meet specifications. Perform machine adjustments and tooling changes efficiently to maintain production flow. Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments and measuring tools to verify part dimensions and adherence to quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and safety standards in production. Troubleshoot machine issues promptly, performing basic repairs or notifying maintenance as needed. Document production data, inspection results, and machine maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping purposes. other duties as needed Qualifications Proven experience operating punch presses particularly the Bliss C60 Skilled in the use of measuring instruments for quality control and precision measurement in machining processes. Knowledge of shop math, basic math skills, and safety standards applicable in manufacturing environments. Ability to operate hand tools, tooling equipment, and sheet metal fabrication tools efficiently. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection and measurement accuracy. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to press operation, machining tools setup, forming machines, and sheet metal fabrication.
