Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Rebar Fabrication Foreman / Lead Hand to assist in overseeing daily fabrication operations in a reinforcing steel manufacturing environment. This position provides leadership and direction to shop personnel while supporting production goals, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience in reinforcing steel fabrication and a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and teamwork. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and support daily fabrication activities in a reinforcing steel fabrication facility. Assist with assigning workloads and monitoring production schedules to meet customer and operational requirements. Train and mentor employees on fabrication procedures, safety practices, equipment operation, and quality standards. Promote and enforce compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Monitor work quality and ensure fabrication meets specifications, production requirements, and customer expectations. Assist with loading, unloading, material handling, and fabrication operations as needed. Coordinate workflow to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. Perform routine inspections of equipment and report maintenance concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with management and production personnel regarding schedules, priorities, and operational needs. Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, and productivity. Employee may be required to perform additional job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support operational needs and business objectives. Qualifications Experience in rebar fabrication, steel manufacturing, construction materials, or a related industry preferred. Previous lead hand, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of reinforcing steel fabrication equipment and shop operations. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, schedules, tags, and production documents. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship. Overtime, weekends, and alternative schedules may be required based on operational needs. Non-exempt employees will be compensated for all hours worked, including overtime, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, moving equipment, and varying working conditions. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
