Job Description

Position Overview:
you'll take ownership of organizing, tracking, and maintaining the sample room to support design, production, and sales teams. This is a full-time, in-house position —perfect for someone who meets fit criteria and wants to work in a stable, long-term fashion role. Key Responsibilities 1. TOP Sample Inspection and Review Carefully inspect TOP samples against approved samples, tech packs, measurement specifications, and construction comments. Check garment measurements, fit, silhouette, proportions, and overall appearance. Verify fabric quality, color, print placement, print direction, trims, buttons, zippers, elastic, and other garment details. Inspect sewing construction, seams, hems, stitching, finishing, and workmanship. Check that all approved fit and construction corrections have been properly implemented. Identify discrepancies between the TOP sample and approved standards, including minor details that may affect the final garment quality. Review matching sets and related styles to ensure consistency in fabric, color, trims, and overall appearance. 2. Communicating Corrections to Vendors Clearly document TOP sample comments, corrections, and quality concerns. Provide detailed written feedback and photographs when necessary to help vendors understand the required corrections. Follow up with vendors to confirm that comments are understood and corrective actions are taken. Escalate major fit, construction, fabric, or quality issues to the Production Manager for review and approval. Track outstanding comments and ensure issues are resolved before bulk production proceeds, as required by the approval process. 3. Sample Tracking and Documentation Maintain organized records of TOP samples received, inspection results, comments, and approval status. Track sample submissions and follow up on outstanding samples or revised submissions. Compare TOP samples with previous approved samples and documented comments to verify consistency. Communicate sample status and critical issues to the appropriate internal departments. Keep inspection records accurate and updated for future reference. 4. Quality Control and Production Support Identify recurring vendor quality issues and bring them to management's attention. Help prevent bulk production errors by identifying problems at the TOP sample stage. Ensure vendors understand and follow approved garment specifications and quality expectations. Assist with reviewing production concerns when the finished garments do not match the approved TOP sample.
