Overview Join our dynamic production team as a Welder/Fabricator, where your expertise will directly contribute to building high-quality metal structures and components. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced welding techniques and fabrication skills to bring innovative projects to life. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding. Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components using sheet metal, structural steel, and other metal materials through cutting, plasma cutting, machining, and assembly. Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to meet specifications. Operate power tools and hand tools safely for cutting, grinding, drilling, and fitting metal parts. Use cranes and other lifting equipment to position heavy materials safely on the shop floor or construction site. Adhere strictly to safety protocols while working on fabrication shop floors or construction sites with a focus on accident prevention and hazard awareness. Skills Extensive construction site experience with knowledge of safety standards and procedures. Proficiency in blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation for accurate fabrication. Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to interpret technical drawings and shop math calculations. Experience with sheet metal fabrication, plasma cutting, machining, assembly, and use of measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, cranes, and safety equipment used in fabrication environments. Ability to work efficiently in a fabrication shop setting or on construction sites while maintaining high standards of quality and safety compliance.
