Lathrop Meat Production Description & Requirements Come join our family at In-N-Out Burgers! The Safety Specialist reports to the Plant Manager and provides support with developing, implementing and maintaining safety protocols and procedures within production. This is accomplished by being on the floor, data and program analysis, training, and promoting safety culture and managing administrative tasks related to safety incentives. This role contributes to the safety and ergonomics of Associates by identifying, evaluating, and mitigating workplace hazards and risks.
General Responsibilities:
Develop and implement safety and ergonomic programs for production; Establish standards, guidelines, and procedures, including creating educational and training materials as needed for CPR, first aid, ammonia awareness etc. Partner with management and lead workplace incidents, complete root cause analysis, and recommend prevention measures. Liaison with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Team to ensure coordination and conduction of routine annual safety observations/reviews of production programs to ensure equipment and infrastructure are in compliance with all standards and regulations. Document results, recommend corrective action in partnership with EHS, and follow-up until deficiencies are corrected. Train associate's in safety policies, procedures and regulations. Maintains current knowledge of existing safety and health regulations Management of programs regarding injury prevention, emergency procedures, and hazard recognition. Representative for corporate safety committee meetings and safety conferences. Perform other work-related job duties as required. Work Schedule +
Benefits:
Full-time position, Hourly (Exempt) Pay Range $73,000 to $84,000 The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors
Hours:
6am to 2:30pm (It is anticipated that 25 to 50% of the work will be spent working varied night or weekend hours.) Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
