07:00 AM•03:30 PM.Job Summary:
Seeking an Operator to support a high-volume medical center communication environment. This role is responsible for answering and routing incoming calls, providing patient and department information, handling emergency communications, dispatching response personnel, monitoring alarm systems, and supporting hospital communication operations. The position requires strong multitasking abilities, excellent customer service, and the ability to remain calm during emergency situations.Key Responsibilities:
Answer and redirect high-volume incoming calls. Provide patient, department, and on-call schedule information. Process routine and emergency calls. Dispatch emergency response personnel during emergencies/disasters. Support faculty answering services and customer care overflow lines. Monitor emergency alarm systems and elevator malfunctions. Process urgent Radiology critical test result messages. Follow all operational, technical, and emergency protocols. Deliver professional customer service as the first point of contact for callers.Required Skills & Experience:
Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent listening and attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced call center environment. Ability to prioritize and escalate urgent issues appropriately. Ability to remain calm during emergencies. Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Proficiency with PC operations and internet navigation. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and night shifts if needed.Preferred Qualifications:
Call center experience. Knowledge of medical terminology.Work Environment:
High call-volume healthcare support setting. Extended computer workstation usage required. Customer-facing role supporting hospital operations and emergency communications.
