Job Description
Purpose:
The Assembly Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production activities within the assembly area, ensuring that finished products are built efficiently, safely, and to quality standards. This role leads and supports a team of assemblers, maintains workflow, and ensures production goals are met in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and support assembly team members to ensure productivity and quality standards are met Assign daily tasks and monitor workflow to meet production schedules Assemble products using hand tools according to specifications and work instructions when needed Ensure proper installation and securing of hardware components Inspect assembled products to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness Troubleshoot assembly issues and provide guidance to team members Operate a forklift to move materials, components, and finished goods safely and efficiently Coordinate material flow to prevent production delays Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Enforce company safety procedures and policies Track production output and report performance metrics to management Assist with packaging, wrapping, and preparing finished goods for shipment as neededPreferred Skills & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience preferred Prior experience in assembly or manufacturing (5 years), with leadership or lead experience (1 year) preferred Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills Must have basic math skills. Ability to use basic hand tools safely and effectively Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to follow oral instructions. Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted. Ability to use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, dial indicator, and feeler gauges. Must be able to distinguish shades and colors.Pay:
