We are looking for applicants who understand our style and level of finish and who already have experience that translates to the type of work we produce. Position Overview The Event Décor & Styling Production Crew assists with the preparation, production, styling, installation and breakdown of decorative event elements. Applicants must already have hands-on experience in at least one relevant area of event décor or creative production. You do not need to know every service we offer. However, you should already be experienced in your primary specialty and willing to learn additional Simple Luxe production skills. This is not an entry-level creative position. We are willing to cross-train experienced team members, but we do not have the capacity to teach foundational event décor skills from the beginning. Responsibilities May Include Balloon inflation and sizing Balloon garland production and installation Silk floral arrangements Centerpiece production Floral preparation Paper crafts and hanging décor Custom décor production Painting props and decorative pieces Table styling Welcome displays Signage preparation Applying vinyl names, logos and graphics Measuring and positioning vinyl and signage Packing and preparing event orders Loading and unloading décor Installing décor onsite Styling event spaces Assisting with backdrop setup Event setup and breakdown Returning and organizing inventory Assisting fabrication or production teams when needed Required Experience Applicants must already have professional or substantial hands-on experience in at least one of the following: Balloon décor Floral arranging Event décor Event styling Visual merchandising Centerpiece production Wedding or event installation Creative production Prop or décor painting Signage or vinyl Craft production Similar event or display work Portfolio Required Applicants should provide photos, a portfolio, social media examples or other work samples showing projects they personally completed. Core Crew Expectations This is not a warehouse-only creative role. Everyone on our team is expected to participate in the execution of the event. All team members must be willing to: Work onsite at events throughout Southern California Assist with setup and breakdown Work efficiently during fast-paced 1-2 hour installation windows Load and unload event décor Learn and perform basic vinyl application Help prepare and pack event inventory Follow styling and installation plans Learn additional production skills Take direction from project leads Assist outside of their primary specialty when reasonably needed Maintain a team-first attitude Help complete the entire project rather than only their specialty For example, once a balloon installation is complete, a team member may be asked to assist with vinyl, signage, décor placement, loading or another production task. Qualifications Previous relevant event or creative production experience required Strong attention to detail Able to follow visual references and instructions Efficient and organized Comfortable with hands-on production Comfortable lifting and carrying up to approximately 50 pounds when required Comfortable working quickly onsite Reliable transportation Available for onsite event installations Willing to learn additional production skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Positive, professional and solutions-oriented Compensation $20.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience, skill level and assignment responsibilities.
