What to Expect
The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) is the owner of Microcontrollers and Microprocessors (Semiconductors) usedinhardware designed byTesla.
The SCMais accountablefor commercial outcomes, supply continuity, supplier strategy, and strategicplanning ofdevicesto intersect withTesla's product architecture.
The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing semiconductors or complex hardware, anda track recordof commercial negotiations. What You'll Do
You will be accountable for-settingthestrategy, executing commercial agreements, driving supplier performance, and ensuring materials readiness
You will reportinto the Semiconductor Strategic Sourcing organizationand partner with Hardware & Softwareengineering, Contract Manufacturers, and Program Managers
You will engage sophisticated semiconductor partners andoperateat the intersection of technical aptitude, commercial strategy, cost, and long-term supply resilience
Own the assigned electronics commodity end to end
- from design influence and technologyselectionthrough NPI, ramp, sustaining, and end of life
Develop and execute category strategy: multi-year business plans, dual-source/make-buy decisions, technology and cost roadmaps, and risk mitigation
Own commodity supply continuity - capacity, allocation, shortage recovery, and long-term supply assurance across the supplier base
Own price agreements, should-cost/cost models, and ongoing cost reduction to deliver best-in-class pricing without compromising quality or supply
Own GT&Cs, commercial frameworks, and RFQs end to end - bid strategy, supplierselection, term closure, and full documentation of awards and agreements
Partner with Engineering on design reviews and change control to drive design-for-supply and design-to-cost; understand datasheets and process controls for the commodity
Align with SOMs, OPMs, CMs, and other stakeholders on execution; track and escalate commodity risks with clear recovery plans through closure What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience in commodity management, or strategic sourcing for high-volume manufactured products (electronics preferred)
Demonstrated end-to-end commodity ownership, including pricing, commercial agreements, supplier performance, and cross-functional leadership
Experience owning or leading supplier QBRs, scorecards, and executive-level supplier engagement
Experience negotiating and owning price agreements, GT&Cs, and other commercial terms with suppliers
Technical and commercial understanding ofelectronicssupply chains; semiconductor manufacturing knowledge (wafer / front-end / back-end / assembly & test) strongly valued depending on commodity assignment
Ability to influence cross-functional partners with rigorous analysis supporting pricing, sourcing, and risk decisions
Strong analytical skills;proficiencywith Excel-based cost models, reporting, and data-driven recommendations
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience
Proven ability to drive issues to closure in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while protecting cost, quality, and supply through ramps and sustaining production

Expected Compensation
$88,000•$300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
