This position is primarily based in our production department, with the additional responsibility of serving as a trained backup driver when delivery-route coverage is needed. This candidate would be an emergency back up driver when needed. Most workdays will involve production duties such as sorting, feeding, and handling linens. Once fully trained on company vehicles, delivery procedures, and routes, the employee would be assigned to cover a delivery route with advance notice—typically the day before or early on the morning of the shift. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, very reliable, physically capable, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable balancing production and delivery responsibilities. Requirements Valid California driver's license required DMV driving record with no more than 1 point Must be able to speak both English and Spanish Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy items safely Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical work for extended periods Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and willingness to follow instructions Professional appearance and customer-service mindset Responsibilities for Delivery and Route Coverage Be ready at all times to cover a delivery route when needed. Safely operate company step vans and/or cargo vans when assigned to delivery-route coverage Follow all traffic laws, DOT requirements, company policies, and safe-driving practices Complete delivery routes accurately, efficiently, and professionally Use handheld devices for delivery confirmations, and required documentation Load and unload products, supplies, and linens while following safe lifting practices Deliver products to customer locations with professionalism and excellent customer service Inspect company vehicles as required and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, signatures, and other required records Production Support Assist the production department when route coverage is not needed Sort, feed, fold, move, and organize linens and other production materials Load and unload supplies, products, carts, and other materials Help keep production areas clean, organized, and safe Assist with inventory organization and material movement as directed Follow all workplace safety procedures, including proper lifting and material-handling practices Perform other production-related duties assigned by the Production Manager Preferred Qualifications Previous delivery-driver, courier, route-driver, warehouse, or production experience Experience driving cargo vans, step vans, box trucks, or commercial vehicles Experience operating pallet jacks or other material-handling equipment Knowledge of warehouse, laundry, linen, or production operations Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently when assigned a route Why This Role Matters This is an important position that supports both our delivery operations and daily production workflow.
