We are expanding our team in Sacramento, CA, and seeking a dedicated Winder - Filament Winding Operator to join our innovative and dynamic team. This role is critical to ensuring the success of our composite manufacturing operations, with a focus on operating filament winding equipment and supporting production processes. Key Responsibilities:
Filament Winding Operations:
Operate filament winding equipment to produce high-quality composite components. Set up, calibrate, and maintain winding equipment to ensure optimal performance. Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Cross-Training and Collaboration:
Work closely with experienced team members to develop expertise in filament winding operations. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support manufacturing goals and deadlines. Assist in training new team members on filament winding processes and equipment.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Perform routine maintenance on filament winding equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime. Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment or processes, implementing solutions as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support efficient operations.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct inspections of finished components to ensure they meet quality standards. Document production processes and report any deviations or issues to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or technical certifications preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate complex machinery. At least five years of filament winding experience. Basic understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Work Ethic and Character:
Good character, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
