N/A JOB OVERVIEW
The Entry Operator performs general cleaning, manual tasks, box assembly, and, in a backup capacity, operates equipment such as size graders, cableveys, electronic sorting machines, carton erectors, auto-scales, palletizers, and bulk fillers in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This position also completes computerized transactions for product traceability and inventory management. Working as part of a team, you will help process and package raw almonds to their highest quality, in the safest possible manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete floor and equipment cleaning, housekeeping, sanitation, and preventative maintenance tasks to sustain operations.
Assemble/reassemble bulk containers. Strap, seal and tape cartons or other container components.
Move bulk materials using a hand or powered pallet jack.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), understand almond characteristics, and conduct quality checks to ensure products meets specifications.
Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Safely operate processing equipment according to established standards to achieve production targets while maintaining quality.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager, Supervisor, or Floor Lead.
WHAT YOU NEED
•Minimum qualifications High school diploma or GED
Work overtime; occasionally flex hours
Ability to lift 50 pounds
•Preferred qualifications Previous experience in food manufacturing
At least 1 year machine operating experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a standard manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions. You may be required to occasionally climb stairs and/or ladders.
