At Old Town Baking Company, great baking starts with intention. Our bread products are made from scratch with simple, all-natural ingredients, including traditionally made sourdoughs, whole-grain, and seeded breads that fit into a balanced, modern diet. We also produce a variety of delicious pastries, pies, cookies, and sweet breads. And none of it would be possible without our amazing Old Town team. From a beautiful aroma that fills our bakery and storefronts, to the last loaf packaged with care, everything we bake is made to be shared. Old Town Baking Company is hiring a Bread Production Worker to join our team. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual to support our daily operations.
Position Summary:
The Bread Production Worker is responsible for supporting the stages of bread production process by shaping dough, unloading baked products, and preparing finished goods for packaging and distribution. This role ensures product quality, consistency, and efficiency while maintaining food safety standards and supporting continuous production flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Load dough into shaping machine according to production specifications. Feed shaped into bread molds accurately and consistently. Transfer filled bread molds onto racks in preparation for proofing and baking. Monitor machine operation to ensure proper flow and identify issues. Safely unload baked bread from racks. Package finished goods according to company standards. Label products accurately and prepare for distribution. Handle products with care to maintain quality and presentation. Maintain clean and organized work areas in compliance with sanitation and food safety standards. Follow all safety procedures and proper equipment handling guidelines. Perform additional duties assigned to support production operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in food production or manufacturing. Ability to work in a fast-paced, production driven environment. Strong attention to detail and consistency. Ability to follow instruction and production schedules. Team-oriented with effective communication skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in hot environments.
