What You'll Do As our Manufacturing Training & Safety Specialist , you'll help create a highly skilled, safety-focused workforce by delivering engaging hands-on training throughout our manufacturing facility.
You'll:
Train employees on manufacturing equipment, tools, forklifts, man lifts, rigging, and material handling Deliver classroom and hands-on shop floor training Coach employees on safe work practices, ergonomics, productivity, quality standards, and proper equipment operation Lead onboarding and skill development for new employees Cross-train existing employees to expand workforce flexibility Create engaging training materials including presentations, visual job aids, SOPs, and instructional videos Evaluate employee competency and identify opportunities for additional coaching Maintain training records, certifications, and employee skill matrices Train employees on PPE, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazard recognition, material handling, and other safety topics Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to support new equipment, process improvements, and continuous learning Recommend improvements that increase safety, efficiency, and employee performance What We're Looking For We're more interested in finding an outstanding trainer than someone who checks every box. Successful candidates may come from backgrounds such as: Manufacturing Training Technical Training Production Supervision Industrial Safety Maintenance Skilled Trades Military Instruction Apprenticeship Programs Lean Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Required Qualifications Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong communication and presentation skills Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing employees Comfortable speaking in front of groups and conducting hands-on demonstrations Experience with forklifts, rigging, material handling, or industrial equipment Ability to develop training materials using Microsoft Office Comfortable recording or appearing in training videos Preferred Qualifications Experience creating structured training programs OSHA or safety training experience Experience with adult learning or workforce development Experience using PowerPoint to create training presentations Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Why You'll Love Working at ASC We believe people do their best work when they're supported, challenged, and appreciated.
