This role is in the High Frequency Technology Center (HFTC) at our Headquarters in Santa Rosa, CA. HFTC is part of Keysight's Advanced Technology Labs, the core R D organization that enables Centers of Excellence and other business groups to provide RF, microwave, mmWave, 5G and 6G solutions to customers in various industries, including AI infrastructure, communications, aerospace & defense, automotive & energy, and semiconductor industries. Responsibilities The IC Product Engineering group acts as a vital link between the design, process, and test teams, and the product line and customers. We ensure that high-quality ICs are delivered to our customers and that our product lines remain operational and efficient. Our team is expanding and we're looking for a self‑driven and proactive engineer who takes strong ownership of their work and consistently drives projects to completion. The ideal candidate communicates clearly and effectively, partners well with customers, operations, and cross‑functional engineering teams, and is comfortable facilitating technical discussions among diverse stakeholders. This role requires sound judgment, strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. The primary responsibilities of an IC Product Engineer include: Analyze and interpret production test data and apply statistical methods to identify trends and improve yield, performance and reliability Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, integration, and test engineering to ensure product yield, performance, and reliability Assist in root-cause investigations for product, test, and manufacturing issues Support laboratory testing, characterization, and validation of integrated circuits for product development and manufacturing Own/prepare technical reports, and engineering documentation Support product development and new circuit/packaged product introductions (NCI/NPPI) Qualifications Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields Familiarity with semiconductor device physics (BJTs, FETs) and circuit design principles Hands-on experience with electrical characterization and validation of semiconductor devices and integrated circuits, including RF, analog, mixed-signal, or high-speed measurements Experience with data analysis and statistical tools Knowledge of reliability engineering and failure analysis techniques is a significant plus Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork abilities Proven leadership skills, including a demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion This role is based in Santa Rosa, CA This position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
