This position will support process development, optimization, equipment qualification, testing, troubleshooting, and material inspection to ensure processes and products meet established engineering, quality, and customer requirements. The Engineering Technician will work closely with Engineering and Operations to execute process test runs, evaluate equipment and materials, collect and analyze process data, and maintain accurate manufacturing records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently in a hands-on semiconductor manufacturing environment. Job Description This position is primarily responsible for developing new processes and optimizing the current process. Performs equipment qualifications, SPC tests, and material inspections of semiconductor components to documented requirements (e.g., work instructions, engineering procedures, inspection criteria, etc.) to ensure that they meet customer requirements and verifies conformance to design and quality standards. Sets up processing equipment and performs minor adjustments to equipment within guidelines. Primary focus is in the Strip Liftoff area to executes test runs as designed by Engineering to facilitate process development, optimization, or troubleshooting. Processes material and/or product as instructed in departmental procedures and/or specified process instructions (e.g., material move transactions in EYELIT, non-conforming material reports, data entry for trending or statistical analysis tools, record retention, etc.). Updates computerized records. Maintains a neat, clean and orderly workstation and adjacent areas. Maintains safety standards and regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Job Requirements Associate degree; Bachelor's degree in Chemistry background preferred or 2-3 years related experience and/or training in semiconductor wafer processing or in a related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Well organized, detail oriented and able to work effectively on an independent basis. Good verbal and written English communication skills. Basic math skills Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Excellent interpersonal skills. Manual dexterity to operate in and around tight spaces and equipment.
