This hands-on role will support Engineering with new equipment implementation, equipment qualification, process testing, material inspection, process development, optimization, and troubleshooting. The Engineering Technician will work closely with Engineering and Operations teams to set up and operate processing equipment, execute engineering test runs, collect and document process data, and ensure materials and processes meet established design, quality, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, technically curious, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently in a hands-on semiconductor manufacturing environment. Job Description This position is primarily responsible for developing new processes and optimizing the current process. Performs equipment qualifications, SPC tests, and material inspections of semiconductor components to documented requirements (e.g., work instructions, engineering procedures, inspection criteria, etc.) to ensure that they meet customer requirements and verifies conformance to design and quality standards. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Sets up processing equipment and performs minor adjustments to equipment within guidelines. Primary focus is within the metallization and furnace area to assist with new tool implementation; executes test runs as designed by Engineering to facilitate process development, optimization, or troubleshooting. Processes material and/or product as instructed in departmental procedures and/or specified process instructions (e.g., material move transactions in EYELIT, non-conforming material reports, data entry for trending or statistical analysis tools, record retention, etc.). Updates computerized records. Maintains a neat, clean and orderly workstation and adjacent areas. Maintains safety standards and regulations. Job Requirements Associate degree; Bachelor's degree in Material Science or Mechanical Engineering is preferred; or 2-3 years related experience and/or training in semiconductor wafer processing or in a related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Well organized, detail oriented and able to work effectively on an independent basis. Good verbal and written English communication skills. Basic math skills Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Excellent interpersonal skills. Manual dexterity to operate in and around tight spaces and equipment. Export Control/ITAR This position may require access to information and items subject to U.S. export control laws (e.g., ITAR/EAR). Employment is contingent on verification of U.S. person status or, where permitted, the company securing any required authorization.
