As a Production Household Associate, you are expected to uphold and actively support the vision of New Horizons Thrift Stores as communicated by Thrift Store Management and your immediate supervisor. Through collaboration and teamwork, you will help carry out this vision within your area of responsibility and influence. The Production Household Associate is a motivated, dependable team member responsible for sorting, cleaning, pricing, and preparing donated items for resale and keeping the work area organized and clean. Additional tasks may be assigned at times by your supervisor. Consideration will be given to your current workload and duties.Key Result Areas:
Sorting and Cleaning:
Prepare donated items for resale. Sort incoming used items by condition Clean items using designated tools and methods Perform basic touch ups or repairs when needed Pricing and retail: Organize and price cleaned inventory for resale. (occasionally, as needed on the team)Workspace:
Follow safety and cleanliness standards to maintain a clean and orderly working environment. Essential Functions An employee must be able to meet the following essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical Labor Environment- Involves working indoors or outdoors in elements of weather, noise, equipment, dust, and temperature. Repetitive motions of the hands and arms to handle, move, carry, and control objects and tools for extended periods of time are required. Body positioning
- Includes standing and walking for the duration of a shift. Occasional bending, stooping, climbing and reaching is required. Physical Demands
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, either alone or with assistance. Work Shifts
- Involves full time day shift hours. (Mon. to Thurs. 7AM
- 4PM, Fri 7AM to 2:30 PM)
