- 5:00 am - 3:30 pm (Monday-Thursday, possible overtime on Fridays)
Pay:
$22.00 per hour 2nd shift
- 3:15 pm - 1:45 am (Monday-Thursday, possible overtime on Fridays)
- $23.50 per hour ($22.00 + $1.50 shift differential)
- Must be able to train on 1st shift for 1-2 months Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Manufacturing Assistant to support production in a composite manufacturing environment.
This role includes material preparation, equipment operation, quality inspection, housekeeping, and general production support. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable using hand tools, and able to follow safety and production procedures. Composite experience is strongly preferred. What You'll Do Perform hand lay-up of composite materials and work with resin systems such as epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester, and silicones. Stage materials, set up and operate production equipment, and complete shutdown procedures. Provide backup support across production areas and learn various machines and processes. Monitor, clean, troubleshoot, and make basic adjustments to equipment; perform minor repairs as needed. Inspect equipment and work areas for safety hazards or defects and report concerns promptly. Complete hourly production and quality records, including downtime and causes. Inspect finished products for quality and company specifications; separate and report nonconforming products. Maintain clean, organized production areas and follow safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Communicate effectively with other departments regarding production, safety, and quality issues. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma not required . 1-3 years of manufacturing or related hands-on experience preferred. Composite materials experience, including fiberglass, carbon fiber, or resin systems, strongly preferred. Experience with layup, consolidator, trim, or press equipment is a plus. Basic math skills and ability to understand weights and measurements. Mechanical aptitude and strong hand-tool knowledge. Ability to learn and safely operate manufacturing equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Able to recognize issues, communicate clearly, and escalate concerns promptly. Who Should Apply?
