Job Description

Production Utility Associate Summary The Production Utility Associate supports daily manufacturing operations by assisting production employees, operating equipment as assigned, handling materials, inspecting products, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks throughout the production area to help ensure products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist machine operators and production personnel with daily manufacturing activities. Load and move raw materials, components, packaging supplies, and finished products. Operate production equipment and machinery as trained and assigned. Remove, trim, assemble, inspect, and package plastic products and components. Perform visual and basic quality inspections to identify defects or products that do not meet specifications. Follow production instructions, work orders, safety procedures, and quality requirements. Maintain accurate production, quality, and material records as required. Keep work areas, equipment, and production floors clean and organized. Assist with machine changeovers, line setups, material changes, and routine production activities. Identify and report equipment problems, product defects, safety concerns, or production issues to the appropriate supervisor or operator. Move materials and products using carts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment as authorized. Sort, label, stack, and package products according to customer and company requirements. Assist with cleanup and housekeeping duties throughout the production area. Work at different production stations and perform various tasks based on department needs. Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and applicable manufacturing procedures. Perform other production-related duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to repeatedly bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements. Ability to lift and move materials, parts, boxes, and supplies as required by the position. Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, noise, heat, and other normal production-environment conditions. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment. Qualifications Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or plastics-industry experience is preferred but may not be required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Willingness to learn different production processes and work in multiple areas of the facility. Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Work Environment This position is performed in a manufacturing/production facility and may require working around machinery, moving equipment, production materials, noise, heat, and varying temperatures. Employees may be required to work different shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays depending on production needs.
Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
