Job Title:
General Production Worker Job Description This role supports daily production operations by safely handling materials, assisting with site preparation, and performing a variety of general labor tasks. You will work closely with team members and skilled tradespeople to ensure efficient workflows, maintain a clean and organized work area, and contribute to a safe and productive environment. Must be ok with lifting 50+ lbs. Responsibilities Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Assist with site preparation, including setting up work areas, staging materials, and assembling basic equipment. Support daily setup and cleanup activities to ensure production areas remain orderly and ready for use. Operate hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively as directed. Follow instructions from team members and skilled tradespeople to complete assigned tasks on time. Support production and assembly tasks as needed to keep workflows running smoothly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following housekeeping and safety practices. Identify basic issues or obstacles in the work process and communicate them to the appropriate team members. Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while handling materials and operating tools. Essential Skills Experience in production, general labor, assembly, general production, warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or landscaping is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more as required by the role. Proficiency in material handling, including moving, loading, and organizing materials and equipment. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with others on-site. Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines. Basic problem-solving skills to address routine issues and support continuous workflow. Ability to operate hand tools and basic power tools safely and correctly. Reliability and willingness to perform a variety of physical tasks throughout the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a labor-intensive environment such as warehouse, construction, manufacturing, or landscaping is highly beneficial. Comfort working in a fast-paced production setting with changing priorities. Willingness to learn new tasks and follow guidance from supervisors and skilled tradespeople. Attention to detail when handling materials, tools, and equipment. Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining safety and cleanliness standards. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Hartford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
