• Job Description
• The General Production Worker supports metal fabrication and production operations by performing spot welding, powder coating, and general labor tasks in a warehouse and production environment.

This role follows detailed work instructions, maintains a clean and safe workspace, and contributes to consistent product quality. It is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in manufacturing or welding who want to build practical, hands-on experience.

• Responsibilities
• + Perform spot welding and powder coat parts according to established work instructions and quality standards.

+ Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to monitor weld quality and ensure parts meet specifications. + Dress and maintain weld tips to support consistent weld performance and extend equipment life. + Use general labor skills to support production processes, including handling sheet metal and finished parts. + Assist with packaging and preparation of products for shipment or further processing. + Operate basic power tools and hand tools safely and effectively as part of daily tasks. + Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area to support smooth production flow. + Follow all safety protocols and maintain safe work practices in a metal fabrication and warehouse environment. + Collaborate with team members and follow instructions from supervisors to meet production goals. + Participate in training and cross-training to learn different parts of the production process.

• Essential Skills
• + Ability to follow detailed work instructions for spot welding and powder coating processes.

+ Basic general labor skills within a production or warehouse environment. + Comfort working with sheet metal in a fabrication setting. + Ability to use power tools and hand tools safely and correctly. + Strong attention to detail when performing inspections and monitoring weld quality. + Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. + Willingness to learn every part of the production process. + Reliability and consistency in attendance and meeting production expectations.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Experience with welding, including stick welding or related processes, is a plus. + Previous experience in production, metal fabrication, or packaging is beneficial. + Interest in developing skills in manufacturing or welding through hands-on work and training. + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, CT.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
