The Hand Fulfillment Clerk is responsible for manually assembling, inserting, and preparing printed materials for mailing in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. This role supports timely and accurate completion of client jobs by following production instructions, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring mail pieces are properly prepared for distribution. The position requires attention to detail, consistency, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team while meeting productivity and accuracy expectations. Demonstrates a strong commitment to meeting service level agreements (SLAs), including working overtime as needed to ensure timely job completion.
Shift:
Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. May occasionally require weekend or extended hours based on production schedules and mailing deadlines. This shift is eligible for shift differential. Responsibilities Manually fold, insert, match, and seal printed materials into envelopes, packages, or other mailing components according to job instructions Must be open to train and operate the Data-Pac metering machine on a daily basis Verify job tickets, work orders, and sample pieces to ensure materials are assembled accurately and in the correct sequence Sort, stage, and organize completed mailings by batch, tray, route, or destination for downstream processing and shipment Perform routine quality checks to confirm accuracy of inserts, addressing, counts, folds, seals, and overall mail piece presentation Identify and remove damaged, incomplete, or incorrect materials and promptly notify a supervisor of issues impacting quality or production flow Maintain production pace while meeting established daily throughput, turnaround, and accuracy standards Replenish materials such as envelopes, inserts, labels, sleeves, and packaging supplies at the workstation as needed Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards in accordance with safety and housekeeping expectations Follow standard operating procedures, client specifications, production priorities, and supervisor instructions throughout each shift Work cooperatively with team members, machine operators, and supervisors to support workflow, resolve issues, and complete jobs on schedule Assist with setup, breakdown, and movement of materials between workstations when required. Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental production goals Education High school diploma or equivalent Skills & Experience Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team Dependable and reliable with good attendance record Works well with others and follows directions Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment Previous production/warehouse experience preferred Physical Requirements Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time Frequent repetitive hand and wrist movements required for folding and stuffing Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (e.g., boxes of envelopes or paper) Work is performed in a fast-paced, high-volume production area with moderate noise levels May be required to bend, reach, and stretch throughout the shift.
