Job Description Shift:

Morning

Schedule:

Mondays from 5 AM to 3 PM, Tuesdays

  • Friday from 3 AM to 3 PM; Saturdays as needed
Pay Rate:

$17.00 Position Summary

The Utility person is responsible for the following procedures to expedite production. Assist where needed on the production floor, accurate recording, packaging, and moving of parts. Reasonable Accommodations Statement

Essential Functions Exhibit safety awareness at all times, immediately reporting possible hazards or violations for corrective action.

Perform all duties in compliance with Company directives and in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and FDA requirements or other program requirements.

Operate tow motor and hand carts throughout the facility, moving product, materials, boxes, etc. Changeover of propane tanks on tow motor utilizing proper PPE as needed.

Utilization of wrapping machine to wrap product boxes

Create production labels, sheets, and crate tickets.

Collection of scrap and trash at the end of the shift

Calculating production and scrap numbers

Retrieval and cleaning of crates and skids from outside the building

Assist with grinding of materials and emptying grinders.

Make gaylord boxes and lids

Operate Comet and Conair systems to start, stop, and reset to ensure proper flow of material.

Operate presses and assemblers to relieve operators for breaks and lunches.

Assess inventory of packaging materials and advise proper personnel when needed. Competency Statements Active Listening

Knowledge of material differences, blends for each part, and the ability to calculate percentages when using different blends.

Qualifications Required:

High Diploma or GED

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required

Basic computer skills to create labels, sheets, and crate tickets

Ability to stand for 12 hours; Ability to lift up to 26 lbs. (sometimes overhead) on a regular basis and the ability to climb ladders. Work Environment
