Full-Time About the Position We are looking for a dependable, technology-proficient, organized, and detail-oriented Shipping & Production Associate to join our small, collaborative team. This position requires confidence using Microsoft programs, shipping software, inventory systems, and other workplace technology. The Shipping & Production Associate plays an important role in our daily operations. The primary responsibilities include building and shipping customer orders, completing preproduction and product assembly, receiving shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory. The ideal candidate can multitask, prioritize daily responsibilities, follow procedures carefully, and work independently with minimal supervision. This is a hands-on position that requires being on your feet throughout the day. It also offers the opportunity to learn different areas of the operation, take on additional responsibilities, and grow with the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping and Receiving Pick, pack, build, and prepare customer orders for shipment. Process outgoing shipments using all required Quality Assurance (QA) procedures. Verify that every shipment includes the correct products, quantities, and required documentation. Prepare, package, and label products safely and efficiently. Maintain organized documentation for international and freight shipments. Use shipping and order-processing software to complete and document shipments. Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against packing slips. Sign and date packing slips upon receipt. Unpack incoming products and materials and place them in their proper designated areas. Provide order and shipment information to Finance as required. Inventory Maintain accurate, clearly labeled, and organized inventory. Stock and organize warehouse shelves and storage areas. Conduct quarterly inventory counts and assist with additional stock counts when needed. Maintain inventory count sheets and accurate inventory records. Enter inventory information accurately into the appropriate systems. Monitor inventory levels and communicate when products or materials need to be reordered. Work with Purchasing to ensure necessary inventory is ordered. Review weekly open purchase order reports. Production and Assembly Complete preproduction tasks to ensure products and materials are ready for order fulfillment. Pick the materials and components needed to assemble finished products. Assemble products from raw materials through the completion of finished goods. Follow product specifications and established procedures to ensure accuracy and quality. Monitor production materials and help ensure supplies remain in stock. Order shipping and production materials as needed. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Warehouse Operations Assist with daily shipping, warehouse, and production activities. Use pallet jacks, forklifts, and other applicable warehouse equipment safely when trained and authorized. Keep all work areas clean, organized, and safe. Organize products, supplies, shelves, and storage areas to support an efficient workflow. Complete assigned daily tasks accurately and efficiently. Help ensure shipping and production processes run smoothly and effectively. Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards. Transition between different responsibilities as daily priorities change. Assist with additional shipping, production, inventory, and warehouse responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Strong technology skills and the ability to learn new software and systems. Proficiency with Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Dependable and responsible work ethic. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize daily responsibilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to follow written procedures and instructions carefully. Basic math skills for counting inventory, verifying quantities, taking measurements, and completing calculations. Accurate data-entry and recordkeeping skills. Good communication, teamwork, and customer-service skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a small team. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management, production, assembly, or order fulfillment is preferred. Experience using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment is helpful but not required. Forklift certification is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to remain on your feet and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, and move boxes and materials weighing up to 30 pounds without difficulty. Ability to perform repetitive tasks associated with packing, stocking, shipping, and product assembly. Ability to safely complete the physical duties required for shipping, production, and inventory responsibilities.
