Graphic Designer / Print Production Specialist Just Say Print Oakland Park, FL Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Cutting Color management Attention to detail Logo design Layout design Full Job Description Overview We are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer / Print Production Specialist to join our busy print shop. This is a hands-on, customer-facing position that involves working directly with customers, creating and editing designs, preparing files for print, and assisting with print production and finishing. This is not a remote or design-only position. Print shop or production experience is strongly preferred. What You'll Do Work directly with customers to understand their design and printing needs Recommend paper, sizing, finishing, and production options when needed Create designs for business cards, flyers, brochures, postcards, menus, posters, banners, signs, invitations, and other printed materials Design logos, layouts, branding materials, and marketing pieces Use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to create and edit customer artwork Review customer-supplied files and make corrections before production Prepare print-ready files, including sizing, bleed, margins, resolution, color, and layout Check proofs for spelling, alignment, image quality, color, and other issues Operate digital printing equipment and assist with daily production Check printed materials for quality throughout production Assist with cutting, folding, laminating, mounting, and other finishing work Manage multiple jobs and deadlines at the same time Communicate with customers about proofs, revisions, deadlines, and job details Keep projects organized and work closely with the rest of the production team What We're Looking For Previous professional graphic design experience Print shop or commercial print-production experience strongly preferred Strong portfolio showing print design, layout, typography, and branding work Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign Strong understanding of preparing files for professional printing Knowledge of bleed, trim, margins, CMYK color, resolution, fonts, and other prepress requirements Experience operating digital printing equipment or working with print-production machinery Bindery and finishing experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to catch mistakes before production Good communication and customer service skills Comfortable working with customers in person, by phone, and by email Able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines Willing to help with both creative work and hands-on production as needed
