Job Summary

This position is an entry-level, 1st shift position that assists operators engaged in processing materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists operators at the coil loading and packaging ends of the line and as needed. Build pallets and shipping containers using hand and power tools. Band and palletize metal coils and/or metal sheets, placing tags/labels on finished products. Perform quality checks to verify proper lengths, widths, and weights are adhered to using the proper tools. Detects and reports faulty operations or defective materials. Moves or carries parts, equipment, or materials. Read and understand production orders. Wraps and unwraps materials. Housekeeping of work areas. Operates a sit-down forklift.

Achieves production goals while complying with all safety requirements. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Must be 18 years or older.

Ability to safely operate a forklift. Training and certification provided regardless of previous experience. Ability to read documents and interpret facts and draw conclusions. Understanding basic math, reading, and writing. Good communication, organization, and time management skills.

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Working Conditions:

Production facility where the ambient temperature may fluctuate, and the noise levels may be increased.

Flexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required.

Days/Hours:

Monday through Friday - 7am to 3:30pm
