Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Technician to join our team. This position involves setting up, operating, monitoring, and breaking down kilns used to convert scrap wood into biochar, an environmentally friendly, carbon-rich product used in filtration systems and other industrial applications. Our company is committed to sustainability by repurposing wood waste into valuable products while supporting carbon sequestration efforts. Responsibilities Set up and dismantle kilns used in the biochar production process Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished products Monitor kiln operations to ensure safe and efficient production Follow established safety procedures and production guidelines Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas Assist with material handling, packaging, and inventory tasks as needed Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals Qualifications Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Comfortable working in an outdoor and industrial environment Mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment operation is a plus Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures Previous manufacturing, production, construction, landscaping, or labor experience preferred but not required Benefits Competitive pay at $18.00 per hour Monday-Friday schedule with weekends off Stable, full-time employment Opportunity to work for a company focused on environmental sustainability Hands-on training provided Apply Today!
