Working with galvanized sheet metal. Welding anywhere between 20 gage up to 12 gage (0.04 inches - 0.1 inches in thickness range)
Must Haves:
Strong MIG welding experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Experience working with thin-gauge metal and maintaining high-quality weld standards. Ability to read and follow welding specifications, blueprints, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Nice to have:
Graduate of a recognized welding trade school or vocational welding program.
Selection Process:
All candidates will be required to successfully complete a weld test during the interview process to demonstrate welding proficiency and ability to work with thin-gauge materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production. 1. Operates welding machinery and equipment. 2. Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. 3. Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation. 4. Welds in a fast paced production environment; regularly required to weld on equipment in a team environment. 5. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. 6. Operates any equipment needed to perform job and performs other related duties and assignments as required. 7. Must be able to work as part of a team.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken. Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools. (Rulers, tapes, etc.)
Pay:
