Job Description

SUMMARY:
The basic function of the Paint Line Operator I position is to monitor the operation, clean, inspect, and maintain paint line equipment in their area in a safe, environmentally compliant and professional manner.
PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES
The following lists the principle activities associated with the position of Paint Line Operator I. Operate paint line equipment according to work instructions Prepare paint solvent mix Check product dimensions with use of various indicators and gauges as described in procedures and/or work instructions. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE
Sprayers Filters Conveyors SAFETY:
Understand and follow all safety procedures Current on all safety trainings Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs) Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas. Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and procedures Complete General Plant Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift at least 20lbs. Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping. Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy. Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.
