  • Shop / Production Environment About the Position MEGA Custom Countertops is looking for a dependable, safety-minded and highly detail-oriented Slab Photo Station Operator to join our production team.
This is a hands-on shop position responsible for safely moving large stone slabs using an overhead crane and/or forklift, positioning slabs at our photo station, taking clear digital photographs, and accurately receiving and matching the material in our computer system.

This position is an important step in our production process. Accuracy matters. The right slab, photograph, material information and computer record must match every time.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment, working around large and heavy stone slabs, operating equipment, using a computer, and following established processes consistently. Responsibilities Safely move granite, quartz, marble, quartzite and other countertop materials to and from the photo station. Operate an overhead crane and/or forklift to move and position slabs. Properly position slabs at the photo station for clear and complete photographs. Take clear, accurate digital photographs of each slab.

Inspect slabs and identify visible damage, cracks, defects or other concerns. Accurately receive and process slabs in MEGA's computer system. Match photographs to the correct material, color, slab number, job and/or inventory record. Verify all information before completing the receiving and photo process. Upload, save and organize slab photographs according to MEGA procedures. Maintain proper slab identification throughout the entire process. Return slabs to the correct rack, location or next production area. Immediately communicate material, quantity, identification or system discrepancies. Maintain a clean, safe and organized photo station and surrounding work area. Follow all MEGA safety procedures and use required PPE. Work closely with Receiving, Inventory, Production, Programming and Shop Management to keep material moving efficiently. Follow MEGA processes and procedures consistently Qualifications Extremely detail-oriented and accurate. Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality. Comfortable working in a shop/manufacturing environment. Comfortable working around large, heavy stone slabs and production equipment. Basic computer skills and ability to learn MEGA's software and receiving processes. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to follow instructions, processes and procedures consistently. Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team. Strong sense of urgency while maintaining safety and accuracy. Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers and management. Willing and able to work a 6:00 AM
  • 6:00 PM schedule as assigned.
Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is strongly preferred. Training and authorization may be required before independent equipment operation. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred and considered very important for this position, as the role requires regular communication and coordination with team members throughout the shop and production areas. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to work in an active stone fabrication and manufacturing environment. Ability to work around forklifts, overhead cranes, machinery and extremely heavy stone materials. Ability to bend, reach and perform physical tasks associated with the position. Ability to work in normal shop conditions, including noise and dust. Ability to wear required PPE and follow all safety requirements. Must consistently follow safe material-handling practices.
