Job Description
General Production Associate's Needed 2nd Shift Ashland City! Job Description This role focuses on assembling components and supporting production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work with hand tools and production equipment, load and unload tanks from paint systems, and ensure all tasks meet established safety, quality, and work standards. Responsibilities Assemble components accurately according to detailed work instructions. Load and unload tanks from paint systems in a safe and efficient manner. Operate manual and automated hand tools to complete production tasks. Set up and operate production equipment in line with operating procedures. Follow all safety guidelines, quality requirements, and work standards at all times. Support general production and assembly line activities as needed. Use tape measures and other basic measuring tools to verify component dimensions. Perform mechanical assembly tasks using hand and power tools. Assist with machine operation and basic material handling tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations. Essential Skills Preferred minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience. Experience with general labor, production, or assembly line work. Ability to set up and operate production and assembly equipment. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly. Ability to accurately use a tape measure and basic measuring tools. Capability to lift 50-75 pounds with or without assistance. Ability to stand and walk for long periods with frequent bending and reaching. Comfort working in varying temperature conditions, including non-climate-controlled areas. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work 2nd shift with start times in the late afternoon or evening and end times up to 1:30 AM. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in construction, machine operation, or forklift operation is a plus. Experience in general production or mechanical assembly is beneficial. Comfort working with paint systems and related industrial equipment. Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changing production needs. Reliability and consistent attendance to meet eligibility requirements for incentives. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Why Work Here? Work is performed on the production floor, requiring extended periods of standing and walking, frequent bending and reaching, and regular lifting of 50-75 pounds with or without assistance. Employees work around production equipment, paint systems, and a variety of hand and power tools in a busy manufacturing environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland City, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
