Job Title:
General Production Worker - 1st Shift Job Description This role is a hands-on production position on a busy assembly line, building signs and crates for the petroleum industry from start to finish. You will work in a manufacturing environment using hand and power tools, tape measures, and other equipment while performing manual labor, including lifting materials and components. The position is on first shift and currently operates with regular overtime, offering the opportunity to learn multiple aspects of the production process and contribute to a high-volume operation. Responsibilities Work on an assembly line to build signs and crates for the petroleum industry from start to finish. Use a variety of hand and power tools, including nail guns, drills, and other common shop tools, to assemble products according to specifications. Accurately read and use a tape measure to cut, align, and assemble materials to precise dimensions. Perform manual labor tasks, including lifting materials up to 50 pounds independently and participating in team lifts for items over 50 pounds. Stand for extended periods and move throughout the facility to support continuous production activities. Follow established production processes, work instructions, and safety procedures at all times. Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, assembly-line environment to meet production goals and deadlines. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling and storage of tools and materials. Support general labor tasks such as material handling, basic cabinetry or crate construction, and other duties as assigned to keep production running smoothly. Essential Skills At least 1 year of general production experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Experience operating nail guns, drills, and similar power tools. Strong ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for cutting and assembly. Capability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds and participating in team lifts for heavier items. Ability to stand for long periods and move around the facility throughout the shift. Comfort working in a team-based assembly line environment with continuous production flow. Reliability and willingness to work first shift with regular overtime as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating various machinery such as CNC routers and press brakes. Experience with cabinet making, cabinetry, or similar woodworking and assembly tasks. Familiarity with general labor in a manufacturing setting. Willingness to cross-train in different areas of the facility to broaden skills. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a standard manufacturing facility that is non-climate controlled, so temperatures will vary with the seasons. The environment is loud, and certain jobs require the use of earplugs for hearing protection. You will work on first shift, with a normal schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and a current overtime schedule of 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, plus 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays as needed. The work is hands-on and physically active, with continuous movement around the facility and regular use of tools and machinery Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
